A Celebration of Chris' Remarkable Life
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Chris Chan, our beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle on 6th April 2025. His life was a testament to love, kindness, and faith.
Chris was a devoted husband to Cathy, a loving father to Allyson and Abigail, and a precious son. He will always be remembered for his talents, compassion, generosity, and warm smile.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, 23rd April at 10:00 am at St. Andrew's Church, Kowloon (near Jordan MTR Station Exit D). Doors will be open at 9:30am. All who knew him are welcome to join in honouring his memory.
A live feed of the service will be provided to those who cannot make it in person.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to ‘EPIC Homes’ (https://epichome.org/), a charity dear to Chris’ heart. Kindly place donations in an envelope marked ‘EPIC Homes’
Though we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing he rests in the embrace of our Lord. His love and memories will remain with us forever.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Cathy, Allyson, and Abigail

When I joined ICF HK in 2020, Chris was there to welcome the new members. He was always willing to support the community. Thank you, Chris. You will surely be missed.
I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Chris not just at St Andrews but at Chinese Church in London. Kind and gentle, and yet so passionate, gifted, and full of God’s grace.
I will treasure our CCIL “Weekends Away”, how we celebrated the turn of the Millennium on the River Thames, our football team rivalry, and how he guided my wife to Christ over Alpha. I had humorously reminded him about how important it was to me (and my mother) that she come to faith. “Leave this with me”, he replied smiling.
You have fought the good fight, finished your race, and kept the faith. Rest well, Chris.
I'm so grateful for Chris for powerful times of encouragement when I was going through significant change and personal crisis. He was always supportive, both professionally and spiritually. I had great joy doing coaching gigs together with him. I will always cherish the times he met me to pray and to encourage me. He was not only a rock of faith, but he called out nuggets of greatness in me that was incredibly timely. I will continue to pray for Cathy, Allyson, and Abigail as they navigate this time, but due to Christ' love and mercy, we can all draw strength knowing Chris is with the Father. Till we meet again brother.
I am so thankful for the privilege to know and engage Chris in our Group 3 Bible study men’s group over the past 2 years.
We had a very authentic friendship where we often challenged one another’s positions on certain topics. We could be quite passionate in our differences at times. However, underneath this dynamic, we had genuine mutual respect and appreciation for one another. Knowing Chris like I did was a great blessing in my spiritual formation and and am thankful He is fully standing amazed in the presence of risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
