A Celebration of Chris' Remarkable Life
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Chris Chan, our beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle on 6th April 2025. His life was a testament to love, kindness, and faith.
Chris was a devoted husband to Cathy, a loving father to Allyson and Abigail, and a precious son. He will always be remembered for his talents, compassion, generosity, and warm smile.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, 23rd April at 10:00 am at St. Andrew's Church, Kowloon (near Jordan MTR Station Exit D). Doors will be open at 9:30am. All who knew him are welcome to join in honouring his memory.
A live feed of the service will be provided to those who cannot make it in person.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to ‘EPIC Homes’ (https://epichome.org/), a charity dear to Chris’ heart. Kindly place donations in an envelope marked ‘EPIC Homes’
Though we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing he rests in the embrace of our Lord. His love and memories will remain with us forever.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Cathy, Allyson, and Abigail

I first met Chris at St Andrews in the early 2000s when we joined the same care group with other young adults. He graciously invited us all to his home in DB for a day of fellowship, where we played board games and enjoyed each other's company. His hospitality, gentleness, and acceptance made a lasting impression on me.
Later, we served together in the 6pm worship team. Chris, as the worship leader, guided our team with grace and encouragement. He demonstrated how to worship God wholeheartedly, emphasizing that worship is about connection, not performance. He noticed my shyness about singing but never criticized me; instead, he encouraged me to let the Holy Spirit lead my worship.
Thank you, Chris, for…
I knew Chris and Cathy around the time they were engaged and married, we were innthe same social circle for a while before they had children and our routines changed. I recently reconnected with Chris via a workshop at Poly U and was grateful for his kind direction and support. He was such a gentle and kind person full of deep spiritual wisdom. My husband also sends his sincere condolences.
I recently just gotten reconnected with Chris after years and he hasn’t changed in his spirit of warmth, generosity and quest for new knowledge as we chat about blockchain.
Chris, that coffee catchup didn’t come through but I shall seek you out in heaven. I’m sure you’re smiling down from right beside His wings.
To sister Cathay, Allyson and Abigail, know that you have a sea of love and support around you. Chris lives on in our hearts with good cheers ❤️
It is truly a blessing from God that we had the privilege of knowing Chris at St. Andrew's Kowloon nearly a decade ago. He was a devoted brother in Christ, a loving husband and father, and a supportive friend who uplifted those around him with his kindness.
Our hearts ache deeply at his passing, and though the grief is heavy, we find solace in knowing that God has a greater purpose for him beyond this world. The weight of this loss will take time to fully comprehend, and we are left reflecting on the lessons we are meant to take from this moment. But this is not goodbye—we hold faith that we will meet again one day.
Our deepest condolences…
When I joined ICF HK in 2020, Chris was there to welcome the new members. He was always willing to support the community. Thank you, Chris. You will surely be missed.
